Personal Wellness Benefits
- Natural Detox
Chlorella powder offers an all-natural way to cleanse and detoxify the body. The fibrous cells walls of this green algae is believed to bind to heavy metals, synthetic chemicals and other toxins, making it easy to expel these contaminants from the body.
- Easier Nutrient Absorption
Chlorella has fibrous cell walls that enable our bodies to easily absorb the protein, vitamins and minerals that chlorella has to offer.
- Weight Loss Support
Regular chlorella supplementation led to reductions in body fat percentage, total cholesterol, and fasting blood glucose levels. Chlorella can be a beneficial addition to the diets of those looking to lose weight.
- Immune System Booster
High in immunity-boosting nutrients, chlorella powder can help ward off illness and improve the body’s natural defense system.
- Anti-Aging Contents
Chlorella can significantly improve antioxidant status and reduce oxidative stress. Excessive oxidative stress is associated with premature aging so reversing it is important for skin and overall health.

- What does it taste like?
Chlorella tastes similar to green tea and is nearly indistinguishable when added to foods. The taste will not overpower the flavor of your dishes; at the most, it will offer a pleasant green color.
- Can I be allergic to chlorella powder?
The high iodine content also poses a risk to people with thyroid disease, given that the excess intake of iodine can cause a worsening of hyperthyroid symptoms or an “iodine crash” in people with hypothyroidism. People allergic to mold may also be allergic to chlorella. To be safe, take a smaller “test” dose of chlorella and wait 24 to 48 hours to see if any allergy symptoms develop. The same concerns apply if you have an iodine allergy since chlorella is especially high in iodine.
